About CFY-Atlanta
In May 2007, CFY successfully launched its
Take IT Home program in Atlanta, serving more than 260 students and their families from one public middle school. The following year (2007-2008), CFY-Atlanta partnered with four Atlanta Public School (APS) schools and provided the
Take IT Home program to more than 740 students and their families.
This year (2008-2009), CFY-Atlanta surpassed its goal of reaching 900 families from five or more schools. In total, CFY-Atlanta reached 915 students and their families from five APS schools and one school in Gwinnet county. CFY-Atlanta continues to conduct outreach activities in all greater-Atlanta area school districts (APS, Gwinnett, Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, and Fulton), with hopes of expanding both the number of school partnerships and families served over the next three years.
